Hello once again every one i am back with an another great hairstyle which is called the half mermaid braid combo...This one is a half-up-half-down hairstyle with gorgeous definition in its stranding! A Mermaid Braid works just the same as a Lace Braid, however you are adding strands in on "both" sides of the braid, instead of just one. {You can think of it as an extremely fine stranded, but loose French Braid.}This hairstyles are perfect are all sorts of weddings , parties , back to school or just casually everyday. Another thing you can do is make the braids on both sides and connect them at the back with a hair tie to form a braided headband. The possibilities are endless so have fun with it! :)

For the second part of this hairstyle, you simply feather off three strands on each side and then bring them back in. Then, by pancaking the feathered stands, you are left with a cute circle accent to your Mermaid Braid!

Please be sure to give this video a BIG "Thumbs UP" if you loved it, and leave a comment below telling us where you are from!

Items Needed: Brush, comb,1 small hair elastic.

Time Period: 3-5 minutes

Step by step explanation :

Step 1 -
Comb all hair towards the back of the head, and create no part .

Step 2 -
Now, go to each side of the head, and, from the front pick up one small strand. Then pick up a second independent strand from the left side, giving you now 3 strands of hair

Step 3 -
Begin a regular 3-strand braid stitch with the three strands. Before you begin your second stitch, pull in a new thin strand of hair from the front of each side, as you would with a regular French Braid…Continue to braid down about 3 inches, then stop adding in new strands of hair and continue with a simple three-strand braid for one more stitch…

Step 4 -
Now, on the right outside edge of the braid, pull off a small sliver {or feather strand} of hair and leave out of the next stitch…Then, on the left outside edge of the braid, section off a small sliver {or feather strand} of hair and leave it out of the next stitch…Repeat Steps until you have three total feathered strands on each side of the braid…

Step 5 -
Now, complete one regular 3-strand braid stitch without adding or taking anything away…Then, begin to add back in the pieces of feathers one at a time {add a right piece to the right-most edge, and then stitch in, add a left piece to the left-most edge and then stitch in, etc}, until all of your feathered strands are added back into the braid.

Step 6 -
Now gently tug the feathered strands, creating “half” concentric circles on each side of the braid, leaving the braid with a what looks like a mini target in the braid…
Finish off the hair with a normal three strand braid, secure with an elastic, and add hairspray for added hold.

What I love about this hairstyle is how much creative stranding and hair delineation is going on. It is something you don’t see every day and certain to get you compliments! If you were to add a base of soft curls or waves, this would look even more stunning {although I would add them after you braid}!You can also add flowers to this braid which go adorably well...
